The short version
No part of this building is step-free. There are two steps up from the pavement to the front door, there is no lift, and every bedroom is reached by stairs. If you use a wheelchair, or cannot manage stairs, this hotel will not be suitable — we would rather tell you that now than take your booking and have you discover it on arrival. Please talk to us before you book and we will tell you exactly what is involved.
Getting around the building
- Entrance — two steps up from the pavement to the front door. There is no ramp.
- Lift — there is no lift in the building.
- Bedrooms — every bedroom is reached by stairs, up or down. No bedroom is on the entrance level.
What the building does not have
We would rather list these plainly than leave you to guess.
- No adapted bathrooms. No room has a walk-in shower, grab rails or a shower seat.
- No widened doorways. No bedroom doorway is wide enough for a wheelchair.
- No visual fire alarm and no hearing loop. The fire alarm is audible only, and there is no hearing loop at reception. If you are deaf or hard of hearing, please tell us when you book so we can agree in advance what happens if the alarm sounds — reception is staffed 24 hours.
What we can confirm today
- Assistance dogs are welcome. The hotel does not otherwise accept animals, but that rule does not apply to a registered assistance dog — you do not need to ask permission, though telling us in advance helps us prepare the room.
- Reception is staffed around the clock, so there is always someone to ask for help, whatever time you arrive.
- Luggage storage is available, so you do not have to carry bags up before check-in or after check-out.
- Check-in — From 13:30, desk staffed to midnight. Tell us your arrival time and we will have someone ready to meet you.
